This can cause dry eyes. A good rule of thumb to follow is what gets referred to as the 20/20 rule.
Every 20 minutes, close your eyes for 20 seconds. In addition, ensure that you place your screen below eye level.

3. Stay Hydrated

The amount of water each person needs per day is dependent on each person. However, a rule of thumb to follow is eight to ten glasses of water a day.
Don’t like water? Choose beverages without caffeine or alcohol. You can also eat water-rich foods. Examples of this would be watermelon or cucumbers.
4. Get More Omega-3
Omega-3 fatty acids can help the glands that make oil in your eyes work better. This can help to decrease the amount of irritation.
There are a variety of foods you can get Omega 3 from. Some of these include walnuts, vegetable oils, flaxseed, tuna, salmon, sardines, trout, and mackerel.
