How to Clean a Clear Phone Case

Did you know that there are 5.31 billion unique mobile phone users around the world today? If you are part of this statistic and a proud owner of a clear phone case but maybe it’s not so clear anymore, we are here to help you out.

We have put together this short phone case cleaning guide to share our top tips on how to clean a clear phone case. Read on to learn more.

1. Baking Soda

One way to clean your clear case is with some baking soda and an old toothbrush. Wet your toothbrush a little bit and then sprinkle some baking soda on it. Then, scrub the case well with the toothbrush.

Once you scrub the entire case, rinse the case, and then repeat the entire process as needed.

2. Dish Soap

Another way to clean your clear phone case is with dish soap. The key is to use a dish soap that is made to fight grease because it will have more cleaning power. In a small bowl, make a mix of the dish soap with water, and then place the phone case inside the bowl.

After a few minutes of the case sitting in the bowl, use a toothbrush to scrub it thoroughly and then rinse the case. Keep repeating until the case looks clear again.

3. White Vinegar

For those that do not have time to scrub with a toothbrush, white vinegar is right up your alley because you can set it and forget it. Grab a bowl that your phone case fits in and add 1 cup of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of baking soda.

Add something to help weigh the phone case down and let it sit for a few hours. Rinse the case and that’s all – your case will look brand new.

4. Hydrogen Peroxide or Bleach

Add 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide and water to a bowl and submerge the phone case in it. Allow the case to soak until it begins to look clear. You can use a toothbrush to give it an extra scrub as well.

If you don’t have hydrogen peroxide, you can use a teaspoon of bleach instead. FYI – never mix bleach and hydrogen peroxide together.

Too Yellow

Sometimes when you let the yellow tint sit on your clear case too long, it won’t look brand new again. Also, with age, the polymers will age so the yellow tint becomes impossible to get out. When this happens, it might be time to invest money in a new case.

If you do not want to deal with yellowing cases, then we highly recommend looking into investing in a SUPCASE, which will stay looking newer longer.
